I have self-published two books to date. I am not a professional writer, so I hired one to eliminate the writing errors I made and to correct my grammatical mistakes and punctuation. That worked well.

However, the self-publisher I use does not have the most up-to-date software for converting my Word document to a PDF file. Because of this, preparing my first self-published book to go to press resulted in many, many hours of back-and-forth corrections and clarifications of what to do to meet their standards.
